Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about AI visibility and our services.
What is AI visibility?
AI visibility is how often and how prominently your business shows up when people ask AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google's AI for a recommendation. As buyers increasingly start their research with AI instead of a search engine, being named — and described accurately — is becoming as important as ranking on Google.
Why does AI visibility matter for my business?
When someone asks AI who to hire or what to buy, the answer often names just a few options. If you're not one of them, you're invisible at the exact moment a decision is being made — and AI referrals don't show up in your normal analytics, so the lost demand is easy to miss.
How is this different from a GEO or AI-tracking tool?
Those tools are dashboards: they show you raw numbers and leave the work to you. We're a strategist-led service — a human tests the questions your buyers actually ask, explains what the results mean, and does the work to improve them, then re-measures month over month.
Does AI visibility replace traditional SEO?
No — it adds the missing AI layer. Traditional SEO is about ranking links; AI visibility is about being named and described correctly inside AI answers, which use different signals and sources. Much of the work also lifts classic search, and we're happy to work alongside your existing SEO person or agency.
Which AI platforms do you track?
ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google's AI results today. We add new AI surfaces as they become relevant and measurable, and we test the same prompts across each so your results are comparable.
When will I see results?
The diagnosis is immediate — you'll see whether AI recommends you right now. Fixes compound over months: on managed engagements we usually look for the first visible movement in AI answers over 4-6 months, and re-measure each month so progress is provable, not guesswork.
Do I need to give you logins?
No. The free check and ongoing reporting use public information only. For hands-on fixes we may ask for access to your website or Google Business Profile — but only when you're ready, and only for what's needed.
What factors influence AI visibility?
Key factors include the quality and authority of your content, brand mentions across the web, reviews and ratings, social proof, demonstrated industry expertise, and clean structured data on your site. AI systems also weigh recency, relevance, and trustworthiness.
How do you measure AI visibility improvements?
We run a consistent set of buyer-style prompts and track your mention rate (how often you appear), position (where you land in the answer), sentiment (how you’re described), and share-of-voice against the competitors AI already names. You get before/after snapshots and a scorecard, with the same prompts repeated so changes are comparable.
What data sources do AI models use?
AI systems pull from many places: your website content and structured data, business directories and citations (Google Business Profile, Yelp, industry directories), reviews and ratings, news and press, social presence, and authoritative third-party mentions. We work across all of these touchpoints.
How often do AI model responses update?
It varies by model and the type of information. Real-time details (like hours) can refresh within days; reputation signals (reviews, mentions) typically reflect within one to two weeks; structural changes (new services, location data) may take two to four weeks. We track and report these shifts throughout the engagement.
What technical changes do you make to my website?
We implement structured data (Schema.org) for consistent business information, tighten titles and meta descriptions for AI crawlers, improve content clarity and information architecture, ensure clean indexing and crawlability, and add FAQ/Q&A markup where it helps. Everything follows best practices and benefits both AI visibility and traditional SEO.
